The journey of CHINÉRA begins at an extraordinary starting point: the rigorous world of architecture, the first calling of its founder, Mr. Yao. As an architect, he was devoted to sketching eternal skylines, shaping cities with line, structure, and the poetry of light and shadow. In those years spent with blueprints and models, he learned to honor the integrity of materials and how to let a space tell its own silent story.
He once believed that beauty lay in permanence and strength. Yet, in his travels across the world, he came to a profound realization: the most breathtaking structure of all is the human form, and the most beautiful space is the breathing inch between a garment and the skin. A building takes a century to become a legend, but a piece of clothing can bestow a new aura, a new story, in the moment it is worn.
This discovery ignited a passion to transform his art. He yearned to shift his focus from the grand narrative of cityscapes to the more intimate, personal expression of the individual. His vision was to give the bones of architecture to the soul of silk; to translate the sculpture of light into the flowing drape of fabric.
And so, CHINÉRA was born.
It is the continuation of his architectural journey and a new, chimerical dream. Chine represents the sublime touch of silk and the legacy of the East, while Chimera is the dreamscape in his mind where architectural aesthetics merge with the fluidity of fashion.
